FAQs

You got questions? I got answers!

1. What’s a Virtual Make & Take?
A virtual make-and-take is a short project-based class demonstration. With traditional make-and-takes, you must have specific products on-hand. Ours are creative projects, but they use standard products you likely already own. We’ll release a supply list the week before the event in case you want to purchase specific items, but it’s not necessary to buy anything.

2. Are these lecture-type classes or are we going to make something?
The classes are demonstration, so you don’t need to have anything on-hand. For instance, in the journaling class from True Scrap the First, I shared a dozen of my favorite journaling techniques and showed how to add them to your pages. You can then take the info you learn and apply it to your own projects/pages.

3. How do the replays work? Do we download the videos or will we have access for a specified amount of time?
You will have indefinite access to the replays. They’ll be hosted online, and you can log in and view as many times as you like, on YOUR schedule. (I like to have them on while I’m scrapbooking — it’s like having a friend chatting with me!)

4. Are there supply lists, downloadable supplies, etc?
As mentioned above, there will be OPTIONAL supply lists for the make-and-takes. The other classes do not have specific supplies you need to purchase. Each instructor will make a list of their favorite tools and products, just for an added resource, but these are not required. We encourage students to use what they have on-hand!

5. Is this an annual event?
Right now, we are in the midst of producing True Scrap 5 for October 2013. Throughout 2014 we are planning mini True Scrap one day events with our large True Scrap 6 event in October. Be sure you are on our email list to receive notifications and discounts. Add yourself here.

6. Are there videos of previous on-line classes?
Yes. You can purchase individual classes from previous True Scrap events by clicking the links below:

7. I’m taking an e-class right now and I can access it anytime that’s convenient for me…really nice since my work schedule is all over the board.
True Scrap events are intended to be different than an e-class. They are true “Events” with all the classes taking place LIVE over a few days. That contributes to the sense of excitement and camaraderie, with people around the world all tuning in at the same time. We do have the replay option available for those who would like to watch again, or who can’t attend.

8. Are the classes appropriate for those of us who mostly do cards and altered “things” projects?
Regarding altered items, you’ll need to read the class descriptions and decide for yourself (just click on each teacher’s name to go to their page with the description of their class). It is a “scrapbook” event, but we are including classes on technique such as stamping, stitching, texture, and more.
